Linda Gooen
Dr. Linda Gooen is a Certified Consultant Pharmacist (CCP) and a Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (CGP) who consults to various health care facilities in NJ and PA including long-term care, assisted living, and geriatric medical day care facilities. She is a member of the Drug Utilization Review Board for New Jersey, a member of the Joint Board for the Certification of Consultant Pharmacists, and an adjunct Associate Professor of Pharmacy for Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy.
She received the BS and BA Pharmacy degrees from Rutgers University and the MS degree from St. John’s University. In 2002 she completed the Doctor of Pharmacy Program from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. She received the certificate of achievement from APhA for the Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery in May 2004. She has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Alumna of the Year Award from Rutgers University (1997), the Jesse Gaynor Award (1999) and the Donald Wernik Achievement Award from the NJ Pharmacist’s Association (2006), and a Certificate of Achievement from The Joint Commission (2007).
She has been a member of NJPhA since her student days as the first Student-Intern Board of Trustee member of NJPhA. She has membership to the following professional organizations: American Pharmacists Association, American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American Geriatrics Society, and the NJ Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
