Harvey Maldow
Harvey E Maldow is the Chief Executive Officer of the New Jersey Pharmacists Association. Harvey has a strong background in pharmacy, pharmaceutical marketing, professional relations and pharmacy organizations. He is active on both state and national levels promoting the pharmacy profession and working with legislators governmental agencies and other health care professionals to assure a bright future for the pharmacy profession
Before joining NJPhA Harvey was Director of Professional Relations at AstraZeneca where he was responsible for expanding, developing and maintaining AstraZeneca’s relationships with national and state cross-therapeutic medical, pharmacy and allied health organizations
Harvey is a former Corporate Director of Pharmacy Services at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York with extensive experience in acute and ambulatory health care settings. He was President of the New York State Council of Health-Systems Pharmacists from 1995 –1997. During his presidency, the New York State Council was successful in passing legislation requiring continuing education for pharmacists and initiating collaborative practice legislation in New York State
Harvey has received numerous awards and honors including the Pharmacist Achievement Award from the New York City Society of Health System Pharmacists, The Distinguished Alumni Award from his alma mater, New York State Council of Health System Pharmacists Board of Director’s Award, Harry C Zeisig Award from the Delaware Pharmacists Society and The California Pharmacists Association’s Education Foundation Award.
Harvey currently serves on several boards and committees including Pharmacy Today’s and Pharmacy Times Editorial Boards, Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy’s Council of Overseers and dean’s advisory boards from, Farleigh Dickenson University, Chicago State University and University of the Pacific.
Harvey received his degree in pharmacy and his master’s degree in hospital pharmacy administration from the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy in New York City.
